The Paul Metcalfe Adventure Award

The Paul Metcalfe Adventure Award was established in memory of Paul Metcalfe, who was a student at Aberystwyth from 1983 to 1986. Its purpose is to help students to meet the expenses of travel in remote or otherwise difficult places where enterprise and initiative are essential.

The successful applicants will be informed early in the summer term.

If you would like to be considered please send your application to the Academic Registry at aocstaff@aber.ac.uk by 26 April 2024.

You should provide a statement of your travel plans including an indication of the purpose of the journey and a breakdown of expenses, showing what help, if any, you expect from other sources. You should also enclose a brief letter of support from a member of academic staff (Head of Department or lecturer).
