Examination Results: Undergraduates
Semester One Results
Your examination results are released over your Student Record. Students are notified of the dates by email.
Special Circumstances: Please make sure you let your department(s) know of any special circumstances (medical, personal etc) which might affect your performance in Semester One in plenty of time and BEFORE the end of the examination period. You should do this by completing a "Special Circumstances Form" which you can obtain from your department, from a link on your Student Record or at the following web address: http://www.aber.ac.uk/en/academic/special-circumstances. If you are ill you must provide a medical certificate. It is much harder to get your module marks amended once they have been agreed by departments and Faculty boards.
Examination Timetable: You should also check the examination timetable and turn up at the right place and the correct time. Misreading the timetable is not a valid excuse for absence and you may fail the year as a consequence.
Semester One Results: Following the Examination Boards your semester one results will be posted to your "Student Record" on the web for you to access, and print a copy if you wish. Paper copies of results WILL NOT be circulated to you.
It is essential you act upon any correspondence sent to you by email and/or in the post regarding your performance following confirmation of your results. Failure to do so might lead to problems for you later. Appeals must be submitted within TEN WORKING DAYS of the publication of the results.
Full information on the many rules and regulations concerning examinations and assessment can be found in the Examination Conventions and the Student Examination Handbook which can be found as a link on the Examination and Assessments area of this web site.
Check Your Semester 2 Registration: You should ensure you check your Semester 2 module choices and report any changes on the online 'Change of Registration' process on your 'Student Record'.
