4.11.3 To Qualify for FdSc Veterinary Science

1. Students must achieve a minimum pass of 40% in all components of 240 taught credits and must have satisfactorily completed the sandwich year placement.

2. Students are normally allowed only TWO opportunities to resit failed modules in the final year (with an F indicator) for the bare pass mark of 40% at the next available opportunity (i.e. during the summer assessment resit period in August or in the semester the module is being or had previously been taught). Uncapped resit opportunities (H indicator) may be made available by Examination Boards where it is accepted that performance was affected by special circumstances.

3. Students who have qualified for their degree will not be able to take any remaining F resit opportunities. Students who have not yet qualified may take any remaining resit opportunities to enable them to achieve the required standard.
