I need to extend my Student visa, how does that work?

The most common reasons that a student needs to extend their Student visa are:
- Student added a Year Abroad to their original course
- Student added a Year in Industry to their original course
- Student needed to re-sit a year of their course
- PhD student needs more time for research to complete the course
To apply for a visa extension, you must first request a new CAS.
Contact the International Student Advisor immigrationadvice@aber.ac.uk to arrange an appointment so that you can receive visa advice and help with submitting your CAS request form.Once the UKVI Compliance Office receives your CAS request from the International Student Advisor, a draft CAS will be sent to you for review and approval, before a final CAS is assigned to you.
We will request a copy of your submitted visa application so that there are no interruptions to your registration whilst you await your new visa.
Once your visa is issued you must send us a share code so that a copy of your eVisa can be kept on file.
