     1. At which organisation was your work experience placement and what was your role?

I was very lucky to complete my placement at Thomas and Young chartered accountants and registered auditors. Whilst I was there I took up the role as a trainee accountant.

      2. What skills did you develop during the placement?

Across the placement I learnt loads of new skills and developed theory I had learnt in lectures into practical examples, in particular I really learnt lots of skills which helped further develop my auditing module.

      3. How did the organisation correspond to your academic interests?

Thomas and Young were great in helping with my academic interest, at the start of my placement I discussed with a chartered accountant what I wanted from the placement across the three weeks and they set out a plan for my time there which allowed me to achieve everything I wanted to.

      4. What was your favourite seminar session on the module and why?

I really enjoyed the Belbin seminars because I found the fascinating to see how the way I think was considered compared to other people in our group. This definitely allowed me to work out areas I could improve on going forward.

      5. What are your plans for the future?

My plans of the immediate future are a masters at university of Birmingham in investments whilst the employment market is struggling and then I have plans to focus on becoming a chartered accountant.
