Open Days are a chance for you to discover more about living and studying in Aberystwyth. There are a range of activities offered across the day, including opportunities to attend talks, view facilities and discuss your queries with staff and current students.
Our Open Days broadly run between 9.00 – 16.00 and within this you can attend the sessions which are of most interest to you.
When arriving to campus you will register in Aberystwyth Arts Centre (from 9.00), where our team will be able to offer advice on how to make the most of your day and signpost to the range of activities on offer.
The central Open Day programme runs on the Penglais Campus and includes welcome talks (repeated across the morning) which commence from 9.10. The schedule includes a range of optional talks covering topics including Accommodation, Fees and Funding and Student Life.
Campus tours are offered on the hour between 10.00 – 16.00 (last tour departs at 15.00). These tours are led by one of our Student Ambassadors and provide the chance to view facilities including: the Students’ Union; Aberystwyth Arts Centre; the Sports Centre and the Hugh Owen Library and give you a feel for the layout of the campus.
An Information Fair is held between 9.00 – 16.00 and provides the opportunity to gather useful documentation and ask queries around topics including: the admissions process, fees and funding, Student Support Services, accommodation, and opportunities to study, volunteer or work abroad.
A range of our student accommodation will be open during the day for you to view (between 9.30 – 16.00). We’ll provide you with information on the viewing options and you can then make your way to the show house / flat in your own time and ask any queries you may have about living with us.
Our academic departments provide a range of activities on the day, and again, further details of these will be included in the programme which is sent to you in advance (to the email address supplied when booking).
