2nd Year; Human Geography

I wanted to become a Student Ambassador because I wanted to give something back to the university. I enjoy talking and meeting prospective students and tell them how good Aberystwyth is as a university but also the amazing student life here. Being a Student Ambassador has made me more confident is talking to new people but also being able to lead a group of people and assist with any queries that they have.

2rd Year; Childhood Studies

I wanted to become a Student Ambassador because I really enjoy meeting new people and talking to them about the University. My best experience as a Student Ambassador has to be giving a coach tour of the town, because it’s such a small town with so much to say about it, so I talked non-stop for about 30 minutes.

3rd Year; Marketing and Management

I had great fun throughout the whole day; answering questions was the best part. We tend to take too many things for granted once we have been students for more than a year, and then someone asks you about lectures or accommodation and you can see how excited they are about it. It is fascinating; it made me proud of being a student at Aberystwyth University. Not only did I meet some amazing people, but also enhanced my interpersonal and team-leading skills. At the end of the day, that is what employers want.
